It’s a dvd player

Sony-Streaming Audio Blu-ray Player

Plays all my old DVD discs and my few newer Blu-ray discs. No frills, but the HDMI connection provides good picture on my TV but, more importantly, great sound through my new AV box. Nothing beats watching movies in full Surround Sound. One note - the remote is really small, too (don't put it where you might not be able to find it). :)

Great DVD player and simple to install

We installed it for him on Christmas morning. It didn't come with a connection cord. So we bought one separately. Because our son had an older TV, it didn't have an HDMI connection. So we bought an adapter that went from RCA to HDMI. But most people would need to get an HDMI to HDMI cord to hook up to a newer TV.
