Ignore internet setup instructions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After some concern about wireless VS. wired internet, knowing that this device does not support wireless and that my hard-wired connection is nowhere near, I decided to try setting up without following those instructions even though the instructions seem to indicate that an internet connection is required. I was able to set it up and it works fine.

Great and cheap buy

Unfortunately, you need to have a wired connection to connect to internet to update the software but have been using it for 3 months now & hasn’t caused us issues without updating it or is telling us to update it.

Good blu ray player

Good spare room player, not much more.

Replacement DVD player

The new Sony works just fine. It has more features than my old one that I currently do not use. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this replacement.
