I highly recommend buying Sony DVD players. Sure you probably don't need to get one with Wi-Fi built-in or having Netflix/Hulu on a DVD player but it is easy to have it all in one if you don't have a Roku device or a smart TV.

I don’t have it connected to the internet because I have a smart tv, so I didn’t see a need to do so. But it’s very simple and straightforward (assuming you’ve already used a DVD player before). I didn’t need to refer to the user manual at all.
