If your trying to make a dumb tv smart with a dvd player let me tell you don't especially if you live in a triple wide trailer with a metal roof. You would think a metal / aluminum roof would be a super conductor antenna but the exact opposite it slows high speed internet to a stand still , like a 5400 spin hdd vs todays SSD hdd in comparison . I was doing this for my mother in law as she bought a old 55" samsung 6 or more years ago and it works great for her but has no 4k or smart apps , so when I let her use my netflix to try and get her do drop cable i also gave her a samsung 8" tab to watch it on . Well like any one the 1rst ? is can i watch it on my tv . Well i had to explain your tv even though back then it was 1200$ does not have anything , no internet to download apps and if you go smart get 4k it s senseless not to . She did not have the money though I even found her a 65" for 799$ 4k smart samsung and she as a singe woman just cant spend the cash on frivolous things as she needs a new metal roof lol the irony kills me because that slows her internet and you cant make or receive cell phone calls in there .There has to me newer material going into 2020 for a triple wide trailer for a roof that doesn't block calls and internet !!!! I got off track so yea i bought this hooked it up to the tv now she has a slow...... smart tv with the super high speed ac internet that should work great but alas nothing is AC except for the laptop i made her buy to stay current and be able to manage her life

This was a gift. Got it for an excellent price and it works well.

I have three of these. Garage, bedroom, and living room. Reads discs well and remote is nice and small. Goes great with our 70 inch sony tv and receiver.

this blue-ray is hooked up to a TV in my garage, for when i'm out there riding my stationary bike all winter, it's been great..

Consumer Reports has other devices rated higher which have more featurres (and cost more of course) but his does everything I need and want it to do.

This Blu Ray player has a sleek design and can have apps installed onto it. Been working well with no problems for me.

Works as advertised. So far all of my discs work in it just fine.

We needed a Blu-ray DVD player so we could hook it up to our surround sound system. Works great plays both Blu-ray and regular dvds.

So far so good. A little difficult to get this and sound bar to work together, but I eventually got it.

Out of all the players that I have had in the past Sony is the one that outlast all of them. So when I needed one for a bedroom it was a no brainer... go SONY!

I purchased a Sony TV and could not hook up my old DVD player. But thanks to a fantastic Best Buy employee we solved my problem by buying this Blue Ray player

The Sony Blu-ray/DVD player works well with my Sony Television. In order to play the DVDs I need to use my television remote. So have both of them handy. It has jacks for up to five speakers on the back.

While I appreicate the MANY apps they have (that I don't use) I only needed youtube, Amazon, Netflix and Pandora and hulu would be nice..BUT no Hulu (which my last Samsung DVD player didn't ahve either so no biggy) But no Amazon? I reached out to the company, they did respond right away which was nice...asked for the seriel number...waiting to hear back...So if they cannot fix or replace with one that DOES have it well back to Best Buy and returning...:( Otherwise it's nice, a bit too many apps that I do not need a bit cluttered in my oppinion.

I originally went to purchase an LG model but the specs for this seem far more superb and it so far it meets my expectations.

It plays ok. Lower the price its too expensive. The guy that sold it to me trey was so helpful. Give him a raise.

Works great use it during the week for Blu-ray movies I am going to be getting another one but it is going to be a 4K version Wi-Fi version for 250
