Great reasonably priced smart BluRay DVD player

Fortunately, there was an update waiting that fixed that very issue. I mainly use this player to access the Amazon Prime Video app and it has worked very well. It was easy to setup on my WiFi network and it was easy to add it to my Logitech Harmony remote. It's hard to believe how small this player is compared to the old DVD player that it replaced.

In my experience, the most reliable players come from Sony, as a prior Sony lasted longer and performed just as well as the Oppo model for which I paid five times what the Sony cost. This Sony model is no exception: An excellent player that loads quickly, plays beautifully and cost well under $100. Lesson learned: When it comes to blu-ray players, stick with Sony.

Excellent Blu-ray - strong Wi-Fi

Ordered online and picked it up at the store within an hour. Took maybe 5 minutes to unpack and connect, a few more to program my smart remote, and it worked perfectly. Strong Wi-Fi connection that was easy to configure for use with the smart apps (youtube).

Good replacement for outdated until

It is the 3rd Sony Blu-ray player we have had and enjoyed. For a good solid Blu-ray player, this is a good one. We are repurposing the other Sony Blu-Ray that works fine at our cabin where we do not use streaming services.
