    My old jvc dvd player gave up the ghost. I bought 2 of these (one for upstairs and one for downstairs). It plays regular dvds, blu-ray dvds and dvds made from my computer. Please note that the included Crackle app on the player will no longer work soon because Sony sold Crackle. The only thing that would make the player better would be the ability to download/add other streaming channels.

    Our previous blu-ray player quit reading discs. This new Sony player was an easy install and works great.
