    I bought this on Black Friday. The reason was because it will play the DVD that is made with the Sony Video camera. It has that feature. Otherwise you have to purchase software to convert the DVD that is made on your computer from the camera to play on a standard DVD player . Plus it is a Blu Ray player as well and has all the smart features on it too. It also has great resolution. For the price I paid it was well worth it
