I purchased this Sony blue ray player for our grandkids play room. They love it and are able to watch Netflix and there movies while they play. This Mimi is the best!

The prices have actually gone UP quite a bit in the four to five years since I last bought a basic blu-ray player. This one does all it is supposed to do and is very simple and easy. I just think that if anything it should have cost me about 25-30 bucks instead of 70. It's still made from the same cheap parts. The manufacturers are trying to capitalize on people's usage of net based tv and movies for free by raising their prices.

Bought as a Christmas gift for friend. It is a nice compact size, a great price & Sony quality.

My wife & I got this because our living room TV is not a smart TV, this has more than fixed that. It was quick to set up and has all the apps we hoped for (Netflix, VUDU, YouTube etc.) The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is the WIFI receiver could be a little stronger, not that it is bad just not as strong as others. Defiantly couldn't go wrong picking this one up though if you are in the market for a new Blue-Ray Player

Set up was very simple. We only use the player for blu-ray, so we did not download any additional apps on to our system. Does NOT come preinstalled with apps like Hulu, Netflix, or Prime Video. We did not opt for the quick-start option which allows for the system to react faster upon start-up, so once in a while the player takes a little less than a minute to recognize that there's a disc.

I vought this so i could have more apps on my son's non-smart TV. We had an old Samsung DVD player. It became outdated and only had options for Netflix. Thats prettyuch all i got with this dvd player. Netflix, HSN, Fox news and some more junk apps. It did not have the option to download more apps. I was incredibly disappointed i paid $80 for exactly whatbi had before. I returned it bought two firesticks for the pruce of one DVD player. I have all the apps i need now. Bestbuy was great on return the box was damaged. They took it anyway. Id buy a firestick instead. $80 for a dvd player with Netflix seems overpriced and not a good value. With that said, it did have a great picture and it played DVDs. Pretty standard.
