Now we can watch our own DVD's when we stay at her place, while she watches programs on her TV. A practical purchase; the player works just fine.

I have a Sony TV so the Blu-ray remote works everything important on the TV in addition to the DVD player. The DVD player connects to the internet so many common TV apps work through the box - NetSuite, etc. (Sling TV is missing unfortunately). Also plays video from a USB drive. I have several video courses stored on a 3-TB USB drive and play them through the TV also.

Pretty much why I bought it! It does have built-in wifi and comes with a few of the more popular apps (Netflix, YouTube) if that is important to you. I really love how compact this player is. My old one was huge so this one is definitely nice to fit in a small space.
