Excellent product at its pricepoint

We have a smart TV and a gaming system in our living but it has been SO nice to have access to apps and other things in our bedroom. I've been able to cast you tube videos, watch amazon prime, try new things and of course, get my netflix fix in. Great quality, great brand, great purchase.

Upgraded from dvd to blu-ray. Picture is great. Not many of the apps are of interest me, and I can't see where new ones can be added, so I think the one that is not wireless may be the better buy since it will save you a few dollars.

DVD player

We didn't have an outlet for the old DVD player, so of coarse we had to get a new TV and a new DVD player. The old DVD player was huge! Our new Sony DVD player is 1/4 the size and plays just perfect! Time we upgraded and so glad we did!

Recommend, for the price!

Does sometimes stop, and takes a minute to get back in, which we don't see happening on our ROKU, but it's a low cost blu-ray player, so I guess I shouldn't expect high end outputs. Plays blu-ray™ and DVD discs well with no issues.

Sony Disc Player

Lacking ability to zoom in and have only been able to find 1 slow motion speed and no 2x or 3x speed while playing disc. Picture is good quality, much better than my 20 year old one that died. Have not used the WIFI and streaming functions yet.

Useful to play discs, not so much for streaming

Unfortunately, the streaming apps offered on the service are clunky and slow, and frequently discontinued, so if you’re looking for a streaming device, you’d be better off getting a streaming stick.
