This is perfect. I get blue ray and wifi without interruption

I bought this for a relative that just wanted something easy to play their blu-rays on, they love it. It's exactly what they wanted and I count it as a good purchase. I have used it at their house while setting it up for them and it works fine. I can recommend it.

I purchased another brand of Blu-ray player and was having some troubles with it connecting to my TV. It would show up as "please check the connection of the device connected to HDMI 2." I saw the player's light was on and green, but the TV was not picking up the signal. After restarting the Blu-ray player the TV would connect with it. I keep all of my devices in a TV console with glass front doors with some decorative wood around the glass. I noticed with the other Blu-ray player, I had to really aim the remote precisely in order for it to pick up the signal. With this Sony, it has connected seamlessly to my TV and had a much broader range for the IR sensor to work with the remote through my glass doors. BD movies start up quickly and look and sound great. I have also used the USB port on the front and the Sony found the MP4 movie file immediately and it also looked and sounded very good even though it was a condensed file.

I don't have cable and my dvd player died. I searched for on that had the wifi capabilities because I have hulu and Netflix. It works great and the video quality is good. I did not like that it does not come with an HDMI cord. I do have some problems with it freezing or disconnecting from the internet and I do not use it that often.

I have purchased this product because of the price. I had a regular working DVD at home but had a couple of DVD/Blue-Ray combos at home. I hook up was easy and all you need is a small HDMI cable to connect Blue-Ray to TV if you don't have a smart tv. But it works great with playback and streaming is flawless. Remote is small and easy to use.

While the machine is not as user friendly for streaming Netflix as my tablet is the new machine is 1000 times better than my 6 year old machine. Old machine was frustrating for disks and I rarely played Blu Ray or DVDs on it. I have already watched more movies on this new machine in the past month, than I watched in the previous year on my old machine.

Time to replace our very old dvd player, and this was reccomended by a BB associate. And what a great purchase- easy to set up, love the lack of cables and the ability to connect to other services!! In fact we can now get rid of the Fire stick!! This is a very definite recommend. (As usual BB out did yourselves).

You can change the input and volume, turn the TV on and off, and control many more functions all with the included remote.
