We also had to place it on its side in order to fit it where we wanted it. We weren't sure if it would play since it was tipped on its side but it works!

I have a Sony already for my living room, so I decided to go with another Sony for the bedroom. I love how easy t was to set up, I just don't really care for the app selection.

This bluray player allows them to easily play their old cds and dvds, as well as any new movies that we purchase in bluray format. Setup was plug and play.

We put this one in the bedroom on the 2nd floor and it has no issues with the signal from my WiFi in the basement. We use Vudu and Netflix often, as well as screen mirroring from my phone.

Gave a 4-star because only because of not being able to see how much of the movie is left like you can when you are watching on a DVD.

Only issue is you have to adjust your settings to view blue ray DVD. If you don't it'll pop and crackle the sound and picture durning playback.
