I purchased this for a friend, and I was able to set it up for her with no problem. However this player is set up with wifi, and she didn't have wifi so this one was overkill for her purposes .

I wanted a new DVD and this one was cheap, but packed with all of the live streaming channels. and the hookup was very easy and it works well, no hiccups.

I bought an older model of this DVD player a few years ago and it did a great job. So when we moved and I was told to get another Blu Ray player, I bought a newer model and it works great.

I bought this blue ray player for our bedroom and it has been great with no problems. Can't beat it for the price, and it is great to use to connect to netflix from our bedroom.

Needed a dvd player, and could not beat the price. My grandson misplaced my Roku remote, so the streaming apps on the dvd player filled in nicely. Not as good or smooth as the Roku in that regard, but video playback was just fine. Great purchase.

Needed a media player for a trade show. This is the only device available with a media player,everything else is cloud based. Oh and it has a great blueray player as well..

No need to spend crazy money on Blu-ray. This Sony is outstanding with a great price. I own furnished rentals and have bought several of these for them. Never had a problem them

I purchased this unit as a replacement of another Sony DVD player that was handed down to one of my kids. Set up was incredibly easy and we are looking forward to many years of use!

Ok, not a techie (or Geek) here but the Sony Blu-Ray player was a great purchase. It connected easily to my smart TV and really performed. I saw new detail in movies I've seen 100 times before.

I liked the product itself, but it didn't come with the cable to connect it to the tv. I had to buy the cable separately, and there was no mention on the box that it wasn't included with the bluray player.

I recently bought this because I got tired of have to bring the one we had back and forth from my room to the living and so forth. No complaints so far.

Much faster and cleaner interface to Netflix then my 3 Samsung devices. Samsung quits supporting upgrades quickly and leave you in the cold. This is compact and quite nice. Love it.

Bought this item for my parents so that they can enjoy blu-ray discs. They were upgrading from a dual VCR / DVD combo player. Big improvement to say the least.

Needed a blu-ray player and one of my t.v.'s isn't a smart t.v. Purchased this smart blu-ray and have both. Just plug in and follow the prompts and it's ready. Easy enough to use for my 8 year old.

We purchased this unit to replace a DVD player without Bluetooth capability. This new Sony does everything at levels above our expectations, including streaming movies from Netflix and other sites.

Got this to stream videos to my tv. streaming on my older tv and player stoped being supported. Was easy to install. Setup took a bit becuase it needed a download to work once setup was bone works great

I really like that this was easy to set up since I purchased a new tv also. The only thing that we did not know was that we needed a HMI cord. I think a cord should be included with the DVD player.

This works very well and was easy to setup. I have used other brands and they seemed slow and difficult to get connected and dropped of our home network.

The Blue-ray player is of excellent quality. I really enjoy watching old movies on it

Always had Sony Blu-Ray. Accessing Wi-Fi for Netflix, etc. is a synch on the older TV that doesn't have Wi-Fi built in. Love the connectivity and the price. Sony products all together makes life easy.
