Wonderful blu-ray player. My Samsung crapped out on me, and I’ve never owned a Sony. Glad I purchased this. Excellent.

It is wifi connected and can stream content, however, I have had some issues with it. My smart TV, about 6 feet away can stream all day long on my wifi without any issues and it has a brick wall between it and the wifi router, this box has trouble streaming at 720p, and sometimes at all, despite being closer to the router. Also, the operating system is sllllooooowwww.... I have taken to leaving it on all the time due to the looooong startup time, but even then it takes some time to just recognize a disc. The remote will sometimes lag so bad I push the button again only to jump past the icon I wanted. I also wanted to stream movies through my tablet using the screen mirroring (Miracast) and it starts great, then about 15mins into the movie, the player disconnects from my tablet and subsequent attempts to stream only last about 2-4 mins before disconnecting again. So in summary, great Blu-Ray player, but don't expect much more than basic native app streaming. At least they fixed the initial issue I had with the player which was that you could not even open a streaming app if there was a disc in the drive. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone buy this product. If I could return it for a better player, I would.

Pretty great machine. I love that it's small and compact. The streaming is slow though. Netflix always loses the internet when I watch it on this device, not my other ones though.

This blu-ray player is about one-fourth the standard video player size. I may not be the best representative to review the Blu-Ray because I use it for just playing dvds . There are all sorts of other capabilities which I have no interest in, like hooking into a sophisticated arrangement with Streaming Services etc. This player plays ALL dvd formats as compared to the last Sony Blu-Ray purchased in early 2000s that would balk at some dvd formats and refuse to play them.

The Sony BD player is the best I have ever bought. Lots of controls to fine tune the final picture, Much better than the Samsung I bought 3 months before I bought the Sony.

Got this blu-ray player to replace an older dvd player in my bedroom. It's small, compact and fits right under the tv. Very good product. I definitely like Sony for dvd players.

This is a good economical option for a blue ray player. The pictures great. The smart features aren't really up to par with the roku's we are used to.

This is a good starter blu ray player. I love the fact it is wifi compatible. I have had some troubles with it connecting to my wifi. It seems like I have to reconnect every week.

The associate explained why a different brand from the TV it will be connected to may be to my advantage. The ability to stream a larger variety of options makes it a win.

Great price & a simple unit to bring me up to speed with the times. Wi-fi connection allows for fewer cables, a huge plus!

My family uses this for streaming Netflix and YouTube. And for the DVD player. It is easy to use since I am not tech savvy. We like it so much we bought another one.

I have not used this too much since my purchase, but it seems to be a good player and I have had no problems setting it up or its use.

Bought this after trying to stay loyal to Samsung, but the Blu-Ray players are different than the TV's. Sony is very compatible with U-verse and easy to set up and connect to WIFI.

We wanted a Blu-ray player and streaming box and all reviews said Sony was the brand. We have been very pleased with the quality and ease of setup and use.

We are using this DVD player for occasional use showing home movies. It is small enough to store behind our pull out TV wall mount.
