I plugged it in, and it worked. I also followed the instructions successfully to connect its remote with my non-Sony TV.

Bought for my daughter's room we loved it so much we bought one for my sons room as well. It's very small, takes up little space but has big features....

It’s a small and great blu ray player. It does not consume much space compared to other blu ray players.

excellent, no frills unit, plays Blu-ray, good 'smart' steaming features, digital audio output. I use mine with a projector home theater

Great price, simple to set up and use. Did not need or want a lot of bells and whistles, just an easy to use BlueRay player. This was perfect.

Bought it to stream Netflix and replace our DVD player. Works great for why we bought it. Haven't played discs with it so can't rate it as a Blu-ray player

This was a replacement for another player that just stopped working. This one is pretty good for the price.

So easy to hook up a grandma could do it (and she did). Got it for the folks and they were blown away with the upgraded picture it provided.

I'm happy with the Sony blu ray dvd player. Had the unit about 6 wks when I received a message that I had to update the app. Tried to update several times & each time it failed. Called Sony for support. The Sony rep first told me I'd have to buy a device to download the update onto & then update the device. In the end, the Sony rep told me to go into settings & restore factory settings & the update should work. I tried this & the update worked. I hadn't changed any of the settings, so not sure what was going on. But the device works good now.

This is our 2nd Sony Blu-ray player, they've done a great job with their interface and Smart features and the remote is very intuitive. Movie playback is high quality, as expected, but the variety of apps for streaming/casting are the star, since it is paired with an older TV with aging smart features and the majority of content consumed is streamed these days, whether from our Movies Anywhere library or Netflix or Prime Video or just YouTube.

Bought to have online subscriptions on an alternate tv. Was easy enough to hookup and for what wanted price was right.

The Blu-ray DVD player worked well. The remote does not have enough definition between buttons.

We have had the same brand for a year and recently got rid of our direct tv. Needed another way to watch Hulu and Netflix and all the other apps.

This is actually the 2nd time I am buying this exact blue ray dvd player. It is reliable, streams very easily, and is highly recommended.

I bought mine first, then liked it for its ease for my 81-year-old mother. The sole reason I rated it "good" is that sometimes (not all the time), it turned itself off, however, I think it may have been due to my wireless Internet. I have since hardwired the Internet directly into the box. Sony makes great products that are easy to use, and this one holds to that. In two different Best Buys, salespeople told me that this was much better than other products. It's easy to hook up, easy to enter email/passcodes for the services you subscribe to, and I would purchase again.

Excellent purchase - it works great and was very easy to install. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with an HDMI cable.

we wanted a good quality blue ray player at a good price and found it with this Sony. looks good and has all the features of a more expensive one.

Easy install was concerned about how light it was but will know more about its durability in time.

Excellent player for the price. It's a budget model but it does the job well
