The number of streaming apps is top notch and very solid; with disc loading times respectable. The Bad: Entering text in apps is laggy and tedious. The Bottom Line: Sony's BDP-S3700 blu-ray player offers a lot of features for a low cost, however, the remote's reponsiveness to the player is slow and can put a damper on the overall fun.

It was an easy solution until we got a smart tv. We have used it with a flash drive for old movies that we had converted because our smart tv proved toooooo confusing for us to figure out how to use the flash drive in it to see the movies. We also use it to play music thru our theatre system. Sometimes easy routes are the best. Not real tech wizards in this house so this helped us bridge between the two.
