As a blu-ray player, though, it's excellent. A quick firmware update after connecting the player to my wi-fi network got me up to speed, and the player has produced fantastic A/V quality when paired with my 42" LED TV and soundbar. I'd sworn off Sony products for a long time based on their performance vs. cost, but this player is well worth the money (and even more so if you can find it on sale, as I did).

I am also glad that we spoke to an agent before we got this product because he informed us to make sure I buy a certain cable that connects the player to the TV since the player is purchases separately. Still getting used to it and so far enjoy watching my movies with it. Not quit ready yet to learn about the other features this particular product has.
