    We bought a Sony TV for ourselves for Christmas, and got this player for Netflix and DVDs we own. Good points: it interacts with the TV very well, uses the whole 16:9 screen FINALLY, and the picture is great. Bad points: no need for the built-in "smart" apps which are in the TV itself, as well in the TiVo DVR. The price was good, the footprint is tiny, but so is the remote, which is a bit TOO small and lightweight, easy to lose in a house with kids and pets.
