This one is good, but does not have Amazon Prime which is one of the entertainment apps we use. It does have Netflix and plays our blu ray discs just fine. We did have to end up buying a fire stick for Amazon. Seems that Amazon has made it where you have to have another device to pick up their service.

Good for Discs, Not so Great for WiFi

When trying to watch Hulu or Netflix, player locks up frequently. We often have to unplug it at the base and reboot. Had this problem with the older version as well. Waiting on an update to fix the glitch. Overall, good player.

One thing that would be great is if device manufacturers would go with a standardized platform like Roku, Google, Apple or even Microsoft. The only overall disappointment with this device are the limited number of streaming apps and the relatively poor performance of the user interface and the apps as a whole. Once you get past the pokey UI, the player does the job.

It gets very costly to change over from VHS to DVD/BRAY all at one time so now, I'm not able to watch any of our old movies that I haven't updated yet. I probably still have about 50-100 movies to change over to DVD. Finding a dvd/bray/vhs player is close to impossible.
