Great 4K and 3D DVD player, no streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG's UP875 is a great, economical 4K / 3D blue ray dvd / cd player. It does not provide wireless internet nor does it have streaming capabilities, i.e. hulu, netflix, etc. Very easy setup using wired LAN internet, HDMI and digital optical (cables not included). 4K is very clean and crisp with good contrast between deep blacks and vivid colors. 3D also very nice with good depth and clear focus. Bought this unit to upgrade from my Sony 3D unit. Highly recommend; great buy at $100.

A Great Blu-Ray Player

She doesn't care for technical things and this was a perfect fit. It works seamlessly with the TV and poses no technical challenges.

It does what I need

For watching DVD's it's great, exactly what I wanted. The wi-fi never works in hotels, because all of their wi-fi go to browser webpages to "accept the terms", and there is no built in browser capable of allowing the connection. It only works on wifi where you actually know the physical password. Had it for over a year now, still enjoy using it on the road.

DVD Wifi unit

Unit is very light weight compared to older unit it is replacing. Connection to WiFi was pretty easy. I don't see the use in the Netflix button on the remote. Doesn't seem to do anything. You still have to space over to the Netflix tab on the opening screen to get it to come up. Playback of DVD's seem good. Much quieter than my old unit was.
