Easy of use, just plug it connect the HDMI cable turn Wi-Fi on and watch DVDs or stream .I recommend it.

Super easy to hook up. Hook ups can be challenging- especially for me- but I no problems!

Love the player. Even though the salesman at BB said you couldnt hook up an external HD woth movies on it and play them, i knew better. Ended up replacing all the players in the house with these.

Bought this for my parents, excellent blu ray player. Easy setup and my parents find it simple to use. Sony never lets me down.

It does it's job, it's not noisy; I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of features that we don't use because the smart TV can run apps but I think it's able to pull up YouTube and stuff. Great little thing.

It's a modest disc player which is what I wanted. Love the remote & ease of usage. I'd give it a 5. Simple directions with a basic player. Don't hesitate. It's a good price.

I was able to watch blu ray video as well as listen to music cds which I liked. I believe that it takes two remote controls to handle tv and player which confuses me. It has been a hit or mis for me to get player to play cd and videos, control volume,etc.

Works like a charm and I love that is so simple to operate. It comes right up on my TV screen and loads without me having to take any extra steps. It came with the cable in the package so I did not have to spend more money on that.

Our DVD had done its job for 10 years and we needed a new one and bought this Sony Blu-ray disc player. It's easy to use, was easy to set up, and we enjoy it very much.

I was disappointed. I didn't realize that buying an 'open box item' meant that not everything might be included. Mine was missing the HDMI cable which the box stated was included. When I called, the person to whom I spoke said to go into the store and they'd give me a cable. They didn't say I need to take the player back. I am 1 1/2 hrs away from the store. When I got there the lady at the door said I have to bring the item back and they'd replace the entire item. Arghhh! Not really convenient.

Only have it for a short time but has worked just fine. Great picture. Can only comment on how it plays dvd's as I don't do any of the other stuff.

This Blu-ray player works great! Sadly an identical replacement for one my wife ruined trying to play a damaged DVD that the label came off and gummed up the laser. We liked it enough to purchase an identical one that my wife promises not to do that again!

I purchased the Sony Blu-ray player to play DVDs with older material on them so HD was not my main consideration since the original material was not going to be HD. The wireless features were nice but my Vizio HD TV and Roku system were already able to do that. I now have the player connected to another TV. The reason for this is that the Sony Blu-ray player was not compatible with the Vizio TV. When it was connected the system recognized that there was a device connected but the home screen never appeared. When I turned the Blu-ray player off a prompt appeared saying there was no source device. When I turned it on the prompt disappeared. I then connected the player to my Sharp HD bedroom TV and when I went to the correct HDMI source the home screen immediately came up. The Sony Blu-ray player seems to be a fine player and now my hard-wired bedroom TV has the wireless connections it didn’t before but if I want to play DVDs on the much larger Vizio TV I will have to get a different player – and make sure it is compatible with the TV.

I previously purchased this brand/type and it lasted for many years. Good quality. Just wish Prime Video was one of the apps like on my old one.

Easy to setup, software include is great plus you can add other apps. Fast loading tray for DVD, Blu-ray and CD discs. I totally recommend this Sony player!

It plays, it streams, it's like new, and the quality doesn't stop. What more needs to be said?

Cost was reasonable. Set up was easy. It plays my DVDs very well, even though they are not Blu Ray discs. Most of all, I really appreciate being able to access Netflix on my big TV.

I like the smaller players as I don't have much room on my stand. This Sony Blu Ray was perfect. Plays DVDs and CDs to. Great value player, picture is excellent, outputs Full (1080p) HD, lots of options in the menu for power users.

I would give this a higher score if it didn't crash 2 or 3 times a week. And by crash I mean having to power it up, reconnect to my network (find wifi and its password) and then log back in to all app subscriptions. PITA. It is a little slow when using the remote. There is a delay when you hit a button and it appearing on the screen. Why are remotes with keyboards not the norm? Why are we using arrows to select letters and numbers? Also, I don't know why you can't download whatever app you want. That is more of an industry issue. To end on a positive note, I do like the unit. I use it everyday. When it works, it is great.
