Got it because it was cheap, but it was clearly cheap for a reason. Slow and unresponsive. Just spend the money and get a good one.

Excellent upscaling. But have not used it for streaming.

it is great for all of your DVDs. and if you don't have a smart TV this unit covers that, the remote control is a little small for my eyes but still works great.

Great Blu-Ray player, but the Wi-Fi connectivity can be a little spotty at time.

I needed a Blu Ray player for my bedroom as I have a large collection of Blu Ray and DVD concerts and could not play the Blu Ray’s on the DVD player I was using. I didn’t need another 4K player for my needs and thought this would be a perfect solution. First thing I will say is that this is the smallest player I have ever seen or owned. It is about half the size of most players and weighs in at about 3lbs. It only has basic functions on the player itself including a power button and a button to open/close the tray all other functions are controlled with the remote. I connected the player directly to my Sony TV via HDMI but it can also be connected via digital coax it your TV has that option. Once you turn on the unit for the first time it walks you through connecting to your internet (either with a cable or wireless). I have the player connected via wireless. The process was very easy and found my wireless with no problem. The player is only able to use 2.4. Once you connect to the internet there are various setup options that are pretty straight forward if you are familiar with Blu Ray players. One really nice thing about the remote is that it allows you to turn on your TV and change inputs and then start the player. The first thing I did after getting everything set up was to go to the onboard apps. These are pretty basic and include Netflix, Vudu and YouTube and some apps that I have never heard of or would probably use. Apparently, this player no longer supports Amazon Video or Hulu and there is no app store to access more recent apps. This isn’t an issue for me as I use a streaming stick for my apps but for someone who might be considering this player for streaming that might be an issue. I logged in and watched Netflix, Vudu and YouTube and I must say the picture quality was exceptional. I really was not expecting the picture to be as good as it was considering the price of this player. Streaming was very smooth and I did not experience any lockup on any of the apps. After watching several movies and videos I loaded a disc in the player and watched several Blu Ray movies and concerts and the picture again was more than I expected. The remote can control all of the functions of the player and play back and is very easy to use with large buttons and nice form factor. The remote is not backlit but I would not expect it to be at this price point. Just a note. I actually received the BX370 version of the player which I understand is the same as the 3700 but comes with a HDMI cable. This was a real bonus as I can always use a spare HDMI cable. All in all, for my needs this player is perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone that just needs a basic Blu Ray player that also offers some good streaming options. Hopefully it will serve me well for some time to come.
