Only streams select platforms missing several that I use

Thw set up was a breeze. Ive had it for less than 2 weeks and since the first day.. its given me issue. It turns off randomly. And it freezes, gets stuck on a screen and i have to unplug it. And then it struggles to turn back on. Its such a pain.. its not worth keeping.

First of all there were missed reviews about this item but my dedication to Best Buy i purchased it anyway. Then the shipment was delayed for weeks. When i connected the player ut did not work. I returned it

Best Buy advertises that you can access over 300 streaming applications with this device. In reality, the player comes with around 40 apps, most of which are useless, and no ability to add others. If you’re looking for a Blu-ray player with real streaming capabilities, look elsewhere and be wary of the Best Buy description if you’re going to buy from them.

The Sony BDP-BX370 Blu-ray disc player offers a great mix of features and performance at a good price. As the owner of 2 other Sony blu-ray players, I already knew I could expect a solid addition to my stable of players. Setting up the BX370 was a simple matter. The package includes a remote (with batteries), power supply and HDMI cable. After making a few choices during the setup program, it’s time to get to business. Blu-rays load quickly, and the picture and sound quality are excellent. Sony has included a super-quick start mode in this model. Enabling it allows the player to start up in a second. I was skeptical that it would work as promised, but it actually did! Loading discs was also fast, much better than most players I’ve used. The only thing that I thought was a bit slow was the speed with which the apps load. While not terrible, there is a noticeable lag while waiting for apps to load. This is certainly not a deal-breaker for me. Speaking of apps, the player comes with a fairly representative set of apps already pre-loaded. Services such as Netflix, prime video, tubi, vudu, Spotify and more are available. Having apps available on the same screen where you play blu-rays is convenient, but you probably won’t get by using the BX370 as a replacement for a dedicated device such as a Roku or Fire TV or Apple TV. That’s because the selection of additional apps isn’t very good (it doesn’t even include previously Sony-owned Crackle), and is mostly populated with streaming services you’ve never heard of. For me, I am mainly interested in a blu-ray player, so this doesn’t bother me. Having access to the apps and being able to update the firmware over my wifi are nice additions that really round out the package. Other features include DLNA, screen mirroring, and playing media from a USB device. I did not try these features, but it’s nice to know they’re there when I need them. Sony has gotten much more competitive with the price of the BX370, while still delivering a quality build that feels just as good as my other, much more expensive Sony blu-ray players. For me, the choice was easy, because of Sony’s reliability. They don’t necessarily offer the most complete package of features, but what they do offer is solid, and it works. I’ve tried other brands, and saved some money up front, but those others inevitably stopped working, while all of my Sony players are still going strong. I’m glad to have chosen Sony once again, and with an even better price, the choice is clear.

Its easy to set up minimal with only eject and play buttons would recommend to someone that is responsible with their controllers, other than it plays streaming apps as welll.

I bought this mainly to play my old CD collection but then found as I was unpacking that I had quite a few old Blu-Ray movies. Works well on both types of media.

Struggles to work after the first few months of ownership. I would spend a few more dollars for better quality.

I should have read the description better but never thought a streaming device would NOT have amazon!! How stupid to be so limited. Back it goes. Have no idea how well it plays blue ray.

This is a product fail. If you leave the player on too long the system locks and there is no way to reboot the thing. It is more sophisticated than the comparable LG, but if the system locks, who cares. They should give up on the streaming and simply play Blu Ray and DVD's.

I popped in a DVD and there was no sound. Then popped in a Blu-ray and minimal sound. All the settings were on 'auto' too.

These are absolutely horrible. They constantly say they are not connected. I requested a replacement but thought it may have been due to my router so i purchased a new router and still the same issue. Purchased 3 and all 3 have the same issue.

It works okay with newer disk. Bad with the older types. Aspect ratios are real problem. Instructions are junk. For the price it's not bad. I wouldn't buy this again.

I was disappointed with this DVD player because I had issues turning it off. I used the remote and tried to turn off the DVD player but it wouldn't turn off. I put new batteries and still had the problem turning off. I even pressed the button on the DVD to turn off and it would not so I had to un plug the DVD. This occurred many times and realized there must be a problem with this player so I had to return it.

For starters this DVD player is ok for the most part. Only dislike about it is sometimes the streaming network will say check back later or please try again. I specially bought this for the streaming but

I could give this a good review as a Blu-ray player if it didn't say "Streaming Blu-ray" on the box. The streaming support on this unit is extremely limited with no real support for application support. Older serial number units did have Amazon Prime support, but that support has been discontinued. So, this unit does NOT have support for Amazon Prime, Disney +, and many others. If you just want a decent Blu-ray player, I suppose it's fine.

Did not like it hade to take it back and got one off the internet fyi Best Buy was not the problem it was the product

Third time lucky. First two broke after only few uses. First wanted discs with "finalization" in order to play, second had disc tray out of balance which shook whole shelf

Bought this unit to replace one that was 2 yrs old and had quit connecting to my tv, after a couple months of being 'glitchy'. Unfortunately, this one is already showing some of those 'glitchy' traits.
