I just told her turn on the TV and put any disc in. The sound is better from the newer TVs than from old CD player. It wont do higher quality Blu-Ray discs, but she doesnt have any.

We would recommend this disc player. The price is also very good.

The Blu-ray player does the job

After much consideration I picked the Sony. The movies play fine and set up was easy. I was able to access my vudu and netflix accounts but not hbomax. I was warned by the salesperson that the software hasn't been updated for a few years. Maybe they should consider an update. Other that that issue it's a great machine.

A friend lent me a Blu-ray disc and my player did not support Blu-ray. It seemed silly to invest much money on something I would not use much so I chose this unit mostly based on price. It performs much better then I expected it to and had lots of features I was not expecting. Great deal!

I’ve always loved Sony products and this one is no different, the one it replaced was 16 yrs old.
