We purchased a new TV so we needed a dvd player as well.

No idea how good the blu ray player is because ours shipped without a remote and can't be used. I contacted Best Buy, who told me they would send a replacement remote. Several days later, I reached out for help again, and Best Buy told me that not only could they not send a replacement label, but that they can't even exchange the blu ray player for a unit that can be used. My only option is to return the unit, when I was pretty excited to be getting it. Absolutely horrific experience.

Good product for purpose and price with built-in WiFi.

This player has more than met our expectations. Our four year old grandson is able to select and run the discs he wants without our help. It provided clear pictures and well worth the price.

A very good DVD player. My only complaint is that is doesn't have a counter.

I actually bought this to secure to the back of my flat screen tv. I have not needed to use it much, but it sure is nice to have a DVD player when you need one. Plus it added another usb input to my tv, which is something I use a lot.

Nice really nice BR and setup but Sony has a software bug that is BR DVD TV that forces a modification of security WIFI system. I chose not to mod my router My WIFI is ATT fiber and could not connect with out change of router security

Took way too much time to figure our how to work the device, but ultimately it did a good job of playing (with subtitles) the DVD movies I wanted to view.

This will serve your basic need for a DVD player, but is almost worthless as a streaming device. It responds slowly to the remote control input and there are only about 12 streaming apps available, half of which I'd never heard of. And, unless I'm missing something, you can't add any others. I purchased it to play DVDs and to stream YouTube. The DVD feature is serviceable. The streaming is not. It often stops to "load", (and I have high-speed) and sometimes even "terminates", stating the app is too large... I plan to upgrade.

Bought this specifically because it can play blu rays and dvds seeing how i still have some of my older favorite movies on dvd. This was a great product for me .

Installation was quick and easy... Our "universal remote" knew exactly what it was and added it into the "mix"!! Love it and we would buy again (this is our second unit)!!! :-)

Plays well so far. Bought it for playing Blu-ray discs. Don't use it as a streamer. There are better choices for streaming available. But when it comes to playing physical discs a very solid choice in the 1080p output class. Keep in mind there is no 4K output.

Small unit but works great. My 4th Sony Blu-ray disc player I've owned over the past 13 years. They work about 5-7 years (2 separate televisions), then I just purchase another one.

Works exactly as you would expect such a device to function.

This is an example of the tendency of electronic stuff to get better and cheaper. It replaces a DVD player that worked ok til it didn't, and I believe that it cost less than the old one. A nice contrast to the tendency of many things to get crappier as time goes by.

This has been a great little DVD player. It is really easy to install and with the smart features it turns any TV into a streaming capable platform.

Replaced our old LG blu ray. I picked this one because it had a remote rather than LG’s app. Works great.

I like physical media over streaming so this blue ray player was a good buy
