    Excellent product and in like manner,I did my homework on this product also and found.it to be an excellent value for the money,but playing catchup electronics wise I was surprised to find out that not only will this blu-ray player play movies,but also CD's and other electronic media

    This player has barely gotten any use (used ten times or less), and most 4k discs freeze using it. Perfectly clean discs won't play smoothly and often skip or freeze for up to a minute each occurrence. I brought the same discs to a friend's house and they played fine. It is clearly a player issue. What a piece of junk!

    Its only been 2 months, and now the reading arm will not go to the outer edge of the disk. all other functions are wonderful.

    I have been underwhelmed by this player. It plays what I need it to most of the time, but the OS is just okay. It also occasionally freezes mid movie which is annoying. It also will not play my copy of Kill Bill Vol. 2 when other players I own will. No idea why.

    This unit would consistently freeze at around the same disc location on multiple brand new just opened titles. Removing the disc and reinserting would, in all cases, resume and play through the remaining part of the disc. Multiple online reviewers had a similar complaint. Bought a different brand player (Panasonic) and ALL discs that froze in this unit played without issue in the replacement player.

    This player kept freezing and would intermittently connect and disconnect from the tv. I would have to turn it on and off to play a blue ray or dvd. Total garbage, do not buy.

    Stops working in about 4 months. Got replacement after multiple calls to Sony. Replacement worked for about a month. Got second replacement. That's still working. Fingers crossed.

    Not sure what to say. Performance is very good, especially for the price. However, this purchase was to replace identical unit purchased one year ago. Unit acted like it's controller was fried. Would not play. Best Buy credited the purchase (under their extended warranty) Hopefully, the new one will last longer.

    This Blue-ray / DVD player is absolutely first rate !!!!! There is a trick however to using the volume control on the hand-held remote. It involves using the upper two "TV" control buttons on the remote AND one of the colored control buttons all together. Don't give up. JR Mayer

    Bought this in Jan. 2025 and by late Feb. (after the 14 day BB return period) I noticed the occasional freeze while watching. I put up with this until now, May. Now it won't play my discs at all. Will have to go through the hassle of Sony warranty service. :-(

    Had to return it, kept turning off my Sony Projector. Got the Sony model above this one and its been working perfect. Coud have just been a defect in that particular unit, not sure what was happening.
