picture quality look amazing.. menu ui look similar from normal blu-ray player.. hope it working for 2-3 years from now

Easy to use and great picture! Set up in minutes.

I’ve owned this player for 4 years. It plays blu rays really well. 4k movies is another story. Most will freeze at points of the movie. It’s very annoying and I’ve tried many tips (disc cleaning) due to off gassing and also made adjustments to player settings to no avail. I would say if you can spend a little more stay away from the Sony players and upgrade to Panasonic UB-820. That is my plan next year. 4k collecting is not a cheap hobby and it’s disappointing that majority of movies freeze on this player.

I purchased this player a few months back. The first movie I watched was the new Top Gun in 4k which was brand new. About 90 minutes into the movie the picture and sound froze. I figured it was the disk. The second movie we watched was the Matrix in 4k. Same issue at about 100 minutes into the movie. This disk was also brand new. So far we have encountered this problem on 5 movies. All of them were brand new 4k disks. I took the player back to best buy and exchanged it for the same model hoping it was just an issue with that player. I tried watching another brand new 4k movie last night on the new player and encountered the same problem. I will be returning the sony and upgrading to a different brand.

My old player still worked BUT it refused to play some file types! This one solved that problem in a hurry! Why, in heaven's name, would anyone want to watch a TV show on a 23" monitor when he has a 53" TV????

I'm enjoying it so much. I'm not able to play my 4K UltraHD but also my BLURAY and regular DVDS. I just wish that Sony also made a VHS player then I would be over the moon.

Worked great for the first two years. After I tried to use a 4K disk in a different language, the player glitched and switched back to the main screen. It never played a 4k disk again. On the bright side, the player can deliver good video and audio. With the firmware update, the player runs much faster. I have a quality receiver and speakers, so CD audio was outstanding. I used Roku and Chromecast for all my other media player needs and wants. I have had a great experience with all other products. This 4k player, however, has disappointed me.

Blue Ray Player working fine so far. Knocked off one star because the remote is very small (for my big fingers). Video quality is perfect.

Well made, works great, 2nd purchase in last year. Very pleased with this model.

Overall is a good 4K ultra Blu-ray player. The only issue I have with the stated Blu-ray player is that is doesn’t have a screen saver like previous Sony Blu-ray players.
