While the picture was very good we had a problem when we hooked it into the stereo we bought through Best Buy. The audio sync was far off especially with Blu Ray discs. The Sony has the option of adding some delay to the audio so the picture frame can catch up to it (vice versa?) but this only made the problem worse. We really needed an option to provide the opposite of the delay that was allowed. Not sure if this was a problem with this unit, or not. I attached the Sony directly to the TV and the sync issue was almost gone, almost. We returned it and bought a Panasonic hoping for better results.

This DVD player was exceptionally easy to install. Pictures on my TV screen from BluRay disks are as good as I expect. As soon as I can buy a 4K TV, I can expect the pictures from 4K discs will be fantastic.

I am not going to go into all the pros and cons just one con that really knocked off two stars for me. The APPS or lack there of. After doing the update it only really has youtube, netflix, and fangangonow (replaced Vudu) but they removed Hulu and there is no way to ADD more apps really wanted to add my Disney+ and Movies Anywhere Apps and Hulu of course so I don't really consider this a REAL streaming player otherwise it does play my UHD discs just fine on my 4K TV.

Iam really not good at installing or putting any thing together so i have been doing without A DVD player since mine stoped working for over 5 years so i just thought ive been without it long enought so i ask the saleman working if he could show me how to plug this up to my tv long story short brought it home and i did it myself so simple to put together and it orks great i wish i had got it sooner ty

The Sony DVD player has exceptional picture quality.

Provides a great picture. Easy to use, and has a volume control on the remote. Does everything we wanted in fine fashion. Been in use daily for six weeks with no troubles.

I recently ordered this device from Best Buy and all I can say is that it is a Winner!! I upgraded it from a previous Samsung device and this player hooked up to my 4K LG TV is a definite plus! From the crispness of the picture to the saturation of colors and the upgraded audio...what can I say but that I am very happy I purchased this and do highly recommend it especially if you're not necessarily looking to purchase their flagship model and just looking for a decent player that won't break the bank!!! By the way, do not forget to update the firmware as soon as you hook it up as I did and you should not run into any problems later! I'm very happy with it!!!!

I was looking to upgrade from a 1080p blu ray player to a 4K blu ray player. I wanted something that was affordable, dependable and good quality. Best Buy had a Black Friday Sale and when I read the reviews on the Sony 4K Blu Ray player it met what I was looking for. The set up was easy. So far the 4K player is working well with the 4K tv. The picture is sharp and the sound is clear. Happy with the purchase and would recommend this 4K player.

Replaced my failing LG machine. I wish I watched more UHD Blu Rays instead of collecting them, but this machine performs well when I actually act like the cinephile I claim to be. If your Blu-Ray doesn't look like it did in the theatre it's the Mandela Effect and remember there's over seven versions of the movie Se7en and none look the same.

So easy to use and looks great to. Shows movies so wonderful and they look awesome. It's super quiet almost can't tell it running a movie. I would recommend to a friend without question.

Works well. Not crazy about the AC adaptor type power cord. Also, the remote is too small for most adult hands, and to not get lost.

This is a great 4K player. It is easy to setup and operate. Picture quality is fantastic, and there are a lot of options to choose for playback. And the price will not break the bank.

I got this DVD player as we have some movies we bought for the kids as they are usually not "free" on cable nor on the most common streaming services, super good deal and great quality, super compact and portable, DO RECOMMEND!

Picture quality is great and player is relatively slim if needed to fit in a shallow space.

I bought this since i started colleting physical media. Ive had no issues with it. People say it skips and freezes but mine has had no issues. Considering buying a second for the bedroom!

Great disc player, easy to set up and use. Have used this for DVDs, BluRays, and 4K discs with no issues. Up scaling is good and remote control is easy to use

Good unit for the price. This replaced an older Blu-ray player. Easy to connect and the interface is intuitive. Even included a 4K appropriate HDMI cable. 4K is the way to go.
