WOW What a difference!

This is my third purchase as a present to my girlfriend. My first experience was to replace my old SONY and hook it up to my 4K TV and attached SONOS sound system. Played my first 4K DVD and experienced vivid color, clarity and mind blowing surround sound. The second was hooked up to an almost identical system in my bedroom. WOW, what a difference from my old SONY player. Thank you Best Buy for send me my first message alerting me to thr 4K SONY player and a great price!

Good for the money 4K/Bluray player

Sony never disappoints

Sony blu ray players have been my choice and this one didn’t disappoint . Plays great looks amazing. Would give 5 stars but Mavericks jet was glitching. Hoping it was just the disk .

4K and Dolby Vision at a great price

The Dolby Vision capabilities at this price point are a strong selling point. The remote has more than the basic buttons (which I like), but it doesn't feel cluttered. It also probably has the fastest startup of any player I have owned. I haven't been able to test the Dolby Vision yet, but the 4K and HDR is solid. Set up was practically plug and play with a brief update upon first startup.

Limited by 2.4Ghz wireless & Audible Disc Noise

Little known fact - it only has 2.4Ghz wireless for all those streaming services. While it has Dolby Vision, it must be turned on/off manually (not automatic) and depending on distance from your router the limited bandwidth of the 2.4Ghz range made Dolby Vision pop-on/off mid-stream. With "streaming" in it's name they should have added 5Ghz functionality - even 6Ghz these days. Also - very light weight because no cooling element and I could hear spinning disc noise during quiet moments in the movie. Other than that - very capable machine for the price point including the typical awesome Sony picture enhancements and HDR10. No Hybrid Log Gamma, but few will miss that.
