Excellent player! I’ve been streaming all my moves digitally, so being able to watch them with the significantly higher bitrates from a 4K Blu Ray disc is like watching all of my movies for the first time again! Crisp, clear, Dolby Vision, and a simple interface. I don’t use any of the streaming apps on it, so I couldn’t tell you how those work. Otherwise, I’m super pleased!

I needed to purchase a replacement DVD player and decided on this one based on features, reviews, and price. We don't watch much on Disc and only one of my 4 TV's is 4K. My last 2 DVD players were Panasonic Blu-ray and I was pleased with both of them but decided to give this Sony one a try. So far no issues but haven't really used it much either! Got it On Sale at BB for a Good Price!

Great bluray player! I love how compact it is and is easy to use.

I've had this player for just a short time. Only played one blu-ray disc and it played beautifully. I can't attest to how a 4K looks, but so far so good. What stinks is the 800M just went on sale. I would've bought that. It's just for the living room so no biggie.

I have not delved into all its abilities, but as a movie player it works great. It can connect to internet and become a "smart" tv. Allowing the use of an older tv with all the features of a new one through the players abilities.

This is an excellent player, across the board. I already bought this model a couple of years ago. I was so impressed with it, that I just bought it for my mother's xmas present, and another for my mother-in-law! :-)

Let me make one thing clear: 4K is the way to go usually, and owning one of these makes for a fantastic viewing experience. What is frustrating is when the player freezes up and won’t eject the disc until I restart it. I know this isn’t just me; other 4K owners have had similar problems. Otherwise, great item, even if you have to shell out some extra dough.

The Sony 4K ultra player does what it's supposed to do with no fuss. The streaming is nice as it can be wired or wireless. I mistakenly didn't pay attention to what apps are available on the player but my tv is a smart so even that minor detail fades quickly. If I were taken back in time, I'd buy it again. Solid device with excellent playback quality

A fan of LG products, this replaced an 4K LG Blu-ray that I've never been happy with. The Sony one powers up instantly, turns off instantly, and responds to other commands without delay. Also no skipping or blanking out of video. The audio output on the Sony is a big improvement also - easy to understand the voices over the background music and sound effects.

It reads all disc formats, it has a USB port for fast access that can be used to view photos, music and Videos or movies. ones you guest used to the remote control, its user friendly. It reads MKV formats, some movies that I have run, the codes that were used for sounds were not recognized (this happens when the person making the video uses generic video programs).

I have an Xbox series x and a ps5. Neither one of them can do Dolby vision from the blu ray player. I have this player paired with an lg oled. It adds a layer of immersion and looks really great. If you have more than 3 or 4 4K hd movies, this is a must. Xbox series x and ps5 are not great at playing 4K hd movies.

Great picture, sound, easy setup. Unbelievable picture on my new OLED 77” tv. Overall a great purchase.

Did a lot of research for the best player that wasn’t totally overpriced and this one kept coming up on top. It’s region free which is a bonus. The upscale of DVDs is one of the main reasons for buying.
