Spectacular quality! This player is simple to use and has great features such as a separate HDMI audio out, allowing you to bypass audio through the TV and going straight into a audio receiver. This allows you to get the maximum benefits of your receiver if it does not support tech such as Dolby Vision.

Easy tp set up and quality great picture and sound

Good unit, easy to set up, moderately priced and Sony quality. Made the purchase to upgrade my old Blu-ray after I learned that it wouldn't play 4K content... the picture is sharp, audio is good and it didn't break the bank.

Overall, I'm very happy with this blu-ray player. Playing movies and media from a USB is great, as expected. If I had one small gripe (very small), it would be the number of streaming apps available. I'd rather just use my Apple TV or Fire Stick.

Pretty good 4k uhd player. Has two hdmi outputs. U can send audio out of one hdmi to a sound system. And then the other to your tv or projector. Had some issues with freezing where i had to unplug to fix. I do wish there was just a player that came without the smart apps built in. I dont need a smart tv and a smart dvd player. Just less eco friendly.

Was initially surprised when I found no remote when I unboxed this. But since I have a Sony TV, the remote for the TV can control the Blu-ray player. Never use this for streaming, 4k discs look great and the 1080p upscaling to 4k also looks good. One main issue I’ve had is overheating (I think). Take this with a grain of salt though because mine is set up inside an entertainment center, but not completely enclosed from air circulation. Normally around the 2 hour mark in a movie, it will stop similar to how a scratched disc stops. I take very good care of my discs and this happened about every other time I use the device. The solution is to just remove the disc and put it pack in, but it is annoying to have to go into the menus and select the scene where you left off and hope you don’t have to rewind or fast forward back to your original point. Can also be used as a streaming box, but I don’t do that since modern TVs already have the streaming apps.

I got this awhile back. I wanted to be able to play some new Dolby Atmos blue rays along with some of my older DVDs. & this fits the bill, even came with an HDMI cord. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

the dvid was installed today, and it is a relief to plays dvd, and cd again.

Priced right on sale. Picked it up at the curb. Was easy to set up & played the DVD’s transfers of old 8 mm home movies we wanted to play for family during the holidays…and movies later.

This is an excellent DVD player. I love that I can fast forward or reverse the video. Great for finding that special segment or favorite actor. And then you can watch that part over and over again! Easy to set up, easy to use!

Excellent picture and sound. So far, no freezing or glitches during playback. Highly recommended.

Compact, reasonable price, quiet, good addition for home theatre

Best DVD player I ever. And there is so much more to this UBP-X700/M. The background the movies that use to be so dark I could hardly see the people. Now it is so much better now that I can see the people.

I have a better Panasonic for my main TV but this is a perfect fit for my TV in the den.
