Not worth the money

Had it for serval months now and half the time I cannot stream any content. For the last two weeks it’s been freezing and crashing when watching a Blu-ray or Netflix. I have to reconnect to my wireless network after it crashes. Firmware is up to date. Not worth the money. First Sony product that has failed me.

Posted .Hi JosehM, we're sorry to hear that you have an issue with your Sony unit. Ensure that your Blu-ray player has the latest software update installed:

For streaming issues, it's often related to internet speed and network connection. Try resetting your router and/or cable modem by unplugging the power cord for about one minute and then plugging it back in. Check if this resolves the streaming problems. If you are experiencing issues specifically with apps disappearing or network connection problems, try connecting the player to your network wirelessly if the Ethernet port is not functioning correctly. Reinitializing the player can also help bring back missing apps. Go to Settings > Resetting > Initialize personal information.
If the problems persist, performing a factory reset can sometimes resolve persistent issues. This will restore the player to its original settings and potentially solve software-related problems. You can follow this link for more information. (Refer to page 25):

Not bad for a midrange 4k player

The interface is very basic, the interface looks like it from the late 90s. It has the ability to push out dolby vision and dolby atmos.
