Great value for the price, plus it simple to utilize

good playback but remote and apps are poor. this unit was not very compatible with my new Samsung 4K but playback is very nice. My wife uses the apps and they are not user friendly

Works great. No frills Ultra HD Bluray Player with streaming.

Very good player. Easy to setup and easy to use. .

Comes with a cable, easy enough to set up. Only problems so far are that the Sony site wouldn't connect at first for a software update, and sometimes I have to switch audio sources to get audio to sync back up after skipping chapters.

Just bought a new bravia 4k tv and needed a 4k player to match. i had another brand hooked up but picture wasnt as clear. always recommend to buy same brand of electronics.

bought a 4k DVD and it wouldn't play in my Blue-Ray player. Explained the problem to your salesperson and he advised me that I needed a 4K DVD player. He was awesome and very knowledgeable on the subject. Couldn't ask for more, thanks a million.

This SONY Blu-Ray player will be a Christmas gift to me from my wife. We were able to purchase it at a great price at Best Buy. Looking forward to setting it up. Thanks Santa!

I bought Sony Blue-ray player to go with my Sony A7000 soundbar, Sony TV. Have not use it yet but Sony always build good quality products. I will come back if i have a issue with the player or any other issues i have with my other Sony products

I bought this for my father in-law since his old DVD player was not compatible with his new TV. He has had no issues with this unit, and the image quality coming from it is great.

Does everything well. The only downside is you have to manually turn on/off Dolby Vision output via the options. I wish it automatically output Dolby vision if disc is Dolby vision.

Maybe it's because I'm old-school but it didn't blow me away as much as I was hoping. I have a 4K smart tv, so I don't need the streaming function. Most DVDs I watch are not Blu-Ray and it doesn't noticeably upscale them. I play CDs with it and the audio ports are HDMI or digital audio, so I had to buy a converter to connect RCA cables. Not a huge deal but an extra hassle that could be avoided with a couple ports on the back. And the track/ time/ whatever info for DVDs and CDs appears on your tv, not the unit, so the tv must be on when playing CDs.

Good blu ray player for the price point. But very basic

For whatever reason, every 4K player ive gotten previously has malfunctioned in some way. This is the first one that’s operated as it’s supposed to without issue.

Tremendous pixilation, sound and ease of use. A tad on the costly side, but after coming from a Samsung it was worth the extra money.

works fine. I use it only because it plays 4k blu-rays and supports Dolby Vision. that part is great. what is not great is that on some disks it will freeze up and start getting choppy. I've done some searching and it seems that this is sort of a known issue.

Almost great. Seems I have encountered the same issue as most of these folks with the freezing/skipping effect. Watching Top Gun it happened right about the time of Icemans death. Then I watched it again and it happened right before Maverick got shot down. Video and sound would skip and fast forwarding through it didn't work. Only shutting the player all the way off and back on helped. I tried 3 different 4k movies that I recently purchased. Jurassic World, Fury, and Top Gun and all had some sort of issue. I was thinking maybe a cable or the movie itself at first but the cable was fine with my previous blu ray player and the bad luck of 3 movies all skipping is probably extremely slim. Then I read reviews and it seems it's a popular issue with 4k players for some reason. I took it back to Best Buy for exchange of the same model(got it during black friday sale) so the price definitely would reflect well with a new one especially since they all seem to have some sort of issue. Hoping the new one works better when it comes in. Not so great for Sony but so far so good for Best Buy. Will update the review if the new player comes in fully funtional.
