Glad I made the change. The associate that sold them to me and the installers couldn’t have been more professional and courteous. Went back to Bedt Buy and brought my granddaughter an Apple tablet recently.

DolbyVision output not automatic

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good overall, nice price, and plays SACD audio discs, but it can't automatically switch between outputting either DolbyVision or HDR10. DolbyVision is either on for everything, including non HDR DVDs and Blu-rays, or off to allow HDR10 for 4K HDR Blu-rays that have it. Read reviews that said the conversion to DV was not always accurate. Didn't want to have to remember to check the setting every time I played a disc, so I decided to return it and will pay more for the Panasonic DP-UB820-K.

We want to help you quickly resolve this so you can get back to enjoying your content. Please try the following sequence of troubleshooting steps, testing the player after each one:
1. Power Cycle the Player:
First, unplug the player from the wall outlet for approximately two minutes, and then plug it back in. This often clears any minor system errors.
2. Check for the Latest Software:
Ensure your player is running the most current software version, as updates often contain critical bug fixes that can resolve playback issues.
Go to Setup > Software update > Update via Internet.
3. Reset to Factory Settings:
If the issue persists, a complete system reset can restore optimal performance settings.
Go to Setup > Resetting > Reset to Factory Default Settings > All settings > Start.
Once the reset is complete, press OK. Then turn the player off for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Not great for streaming

The streaming leaves A LOT to be desired, as there are only about a dozen choices including Netflix and Amazon Video. Even though the Hulu app is included, it doesn't work and says "no longer supported on this device." No Disney+ either. We hoped this would be a better solution for streaming at home, but I guess we'll continue to use our ChromeCast instead.

I needed a blueray dvd player and this checks all the boxes. Bonus that it is also a streaming device. I haven't even looked at that yet. It's easy to set up etc

Great turn around time I ordered it one day the next it was delivered. A++ Much Better than the industry. It work out of the box, Sony Had some features that made it worthwhile. They supplied all the cables and good Instructions.

The first movie we watched was Avatar and the colors were clear & vivid. Well worth the upgrade.
