Have played both blu-ray and 4k DVDs with no issues. Have only had 2 months so we will see how long it lasts.

Even though 100% of movies are on or going to be on a streaming, there are some DVDs you want to have ans i am glad to have a device that handles all.

good value for the money and I like the fact it had multiple outputs so it would work with my 4K TV and AVR that wasn't 4k compatible. Thus, I got the 4K video and the surround sound.

I read the reviews before I bought it. I don't think the picture from the DVD player is any better than my Samsung DVD player.

As indicated, upconverts a DVD even if not 4K TV and amazing when 4K DVD with 4K TV. Very easy to set up and prompts you to update if one is available.

Don't have a problem using it creates every movie and Blu-ray disc that we own

As far as playing the discs, it's great. However, the "smart" apps need some help. For example, the Amazon Prime Video app complains that it can't load. It needs updated. This model has been out for quite a long time, so I'm guessing that Sony has stopped updating it, but it's still a current model, so this is NOT acceptable.

This is the perfect match for my Sony 65” 4k tv for whatever reason the ps5 does not play 3-d blu-ray discs but this blu-ray player does.

Bought this during a recent sale to replace an older Sony model that was no longer supported. This new 4K UHD model works fantastic, very pleased. Good reviews online and great bang for the buck

This review is more about my experience with Best Buy then the blu ray player.. never was able to use it because when I picked it up it was missing parts and the manger was unhelpful offer to sell me a HDMI cable because it was not in the box, also missing remote. So I returned it.

Plays all my DVD's and upconverts very nicely so that everything looks its best!

I wish you could customize the interface but the result is beautiful! Definitely worth it, when it's on sale.

I've bought Sony brand players before and this did not disappoint. The 4K resolution is great and played well with my new TV. Definitely would recommend this.

Player froze repeatedly while streaming Netflix. Could not return to the Netflix menu without restarting the device. The first day of use, the Netflix and Youtube interface worked well and better than the replaced Sony player, with faster load times and more responsive menu commands. The second and third days of use included repeated screen freezes that completely locked the unit, as it remained unresponsive to menu commands. Received disk error when attempting to play the first Blu Ray disk. This was a standard Blu Ray disk, not a 4K movie. No damage or dirt was apparent on the very clean disk. After ejecting five times, the disk suddenly played flawlessly. The software was updated before the first use. I will return and try another 4K player model.

The DVD player has made my experience totally amazing with the crisp clear screen.
