Bought it cause my Sony 800 (no "m") doesn't have Dolby Vision and wanted to watch Matrix UHD with Dolby Vision, so I bought this one. Feels like a step back from the 800 (cause it's 100 better than 700?) The remote is small and the interface feels sluggish and when u turn on Dolby Vision on the 700/m, it's all on all the time except for DVDs, which makes it hard to enjoy a movie. I can't tell if the movie has original HDR or is added by the player. It gives it a fake Vision feeling and I'm def not feeling that. Great budget player but if I had the money, I'd save for the 800/m.

Great product. Permits hours and hours of home entertainment. First purchase was much larger and, due to its size, had to be returned. I recommend it highly.

The Sony UBP-X700/M has worked for both Blu-ray and DVD movies. This unit replaced an earlier Sony Blu-ray player of the same model (no "/M").

This player works very well. I am impressed by the quality and ease of setup.

Excellent product. Sony always exceeding expectations. A really fast device.

It broke in less than a year!!! After a few months of using it and then one day it will no communicate With my TV. It will not play the disc nor get on the apps.

Hard to tell if it in 4k half the time and if the audio is a problem sometimes but I love having this player and how effective it is on my tv I highly recommend it

Sony - UBP-X700/M Streaming 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player is a great value. It plays all disk 4K, Blu-ray, DVD, and audio. This play is very small. So far it is a keeper.

Bought it for my sisters birthday. She loves it. The apps aren’t that great if that’s what your buying it for.

I am not sure if this was repackaged but when I opened it there was no plastic sticker on any part, the top was scuffed and what looked like smudged finger prints. It works so far but when looking up the model number in the settings there is was no M at the end. Just seems sketchy for a new in-box item.

Great 4k player. Easy to use Operating system. Small and compact design can go almost anywhere.

This review is for the UPB-X700 DVD/Blu-ray player. First Sony purchase I have been disappointed with, dvd's, and streaming channels freeze and player locks up for no reason. Only way to get it shut off is to unplug the power cord from the back of the player and let it reset. Just a very disappointing purchase, I expect a higher quality from Sony but this is not one of their better DVD players. After this poor effort I am not sure if I will be purchasing any more of their products.

This purchase is a replacement for my previous Blu-ray player. I wanted the exact same device... However, this seems to be an upgraded model. Operating the device is a little different.
