It's a decent player with limited capabilities compared to others in its price range. It has plenty of options in regards to audio and video settings. The video that comes through appears to have no issues and comes across as crisp and clear. This is the case in 4k UHD as well as standard HD disks. The audio on the other hand is a problem. Playing HD disks, it works fine as expected. When I play UHD disks, the audio and video lose sync more and more as the movie goes on. I've worked with Sony tech support, folks on the AVS forums, and done a multitude of troubleshooting and reconfigurations. No matter what, this issue still remains.

Was in store looking at blu-ray players & this one was available & the price was good so made the purchase

Good product. Good value. Not particular fond of swing door cover myself, that's why the 4 stars.

Have gone through two of these so far. First glitched out about halfway through any 4k movie. System menus and home screen have the viewing quality of something from the early 2000's, not sure why Sony can't spend a few $$'s to have their system look nice on the TV. Anyways, new unit seems to work fine and haven't had any further issues.

I love this Sony blu ray player, the associate was very knowledgeable and helpful, I always go to Best Buy for my electronics

Unit works fine but will not play blu ray to laptop unless other software is added to laptop.

My installation was a little difficult my I got it done and it works fantastic !!!

While there are number of things that are good, I'm mainly going to focus on the negative and why I'm returning this item. Since the player is mostly plastic material, it feel cheap even though I bought it during sale for $150. It does not connect to my 5G network but I suppose an easy fix if you have direct ethernet connection. Menu looks like something you would expect out of a Sanyo. My #1 issue (yep, I'm listing at the very end)... I often have to reboot the player for it to play any Blu-ray movie. 99% of the time, I just get a black screen and nothing plays. It works after rebooting. There is no software update available to find out if this is going to get fixed. Hence, I'm returning it.

We had to return this item since it was not Bluetooth compatible

This is an excellent player, I use it in my kids room and they have no challenge working it

Sony has always been my preferred brand of electrics for as long as I can remember. Love the quality of the product for the price.

Great DVD Blue Ray player with added ability to turn TV smart

This Blu-Ray playet has two hdmi ports. One for watching videos and the other for audio. It works well with my tuner.

Good UHD player with wi-fi build in. Have shop for a 4K UHD blu ray player from various majers and decided on the Sony.
