If you ever decide to try a Sony player with built-in wireless connectivity, our UBP-X800M2 model is an excellent choice. It offers the same fantastic 4K picture quality with the convenience of a Wi-Fi connection, which could provide a much smoother experience for you.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the UBPX700U. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing skipping and freezing issues during playback.

To resolve this, we recommend performing the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Power cycle the player by unplugging it from the power source for about 2 minutes, then plug it back in.

2. Inspect your discs to make sure they are in excellent condition with no scratches.

3. Perform a factory data reset by going to Setup > Resetting > Reset to Factory Default Settings > All Settings > Start > Close > Turn off the player and then turn it back on.

In the event you consider purchasing another 4K player in the future, please know that setup difficulties are often resolved by ensuring a Premium High-Speed HDMI cable is used and that the corresponding HDMI input on your TV is set to an Enhanced/Deep Color/UHD Format within your TV's settings.
