-Ensure the DVDs and 4K discs are compatible with the player and correctly finalized.

For your reference, you can visit our website and check the "Operating Instructions" on page 28 for a list of discs that are compatible with the player. https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/home-video-blu-ray-disc-players-recorders/ubp-x700-u/manuals

-Examine the discs for any dirt, scratches or damage. Clean them gently with a soft, dry cloth if necessary.

-Reset the player: Press the HOME button on the remote, navigate to Setup, select Resetting and then choose Reset to factory default settings.
