I haven't really tested any of the streaming apps on it I got it strictly for the 4k blu ray capability and it hit it out of the park for the value.

Best Buy Open Box Miss

It’s easy to operate, even with manually changing the settings for Dolby. It’s also responsive whenever I need to move forward or go back. I knocked one star off for the open-box guarantees. I bought this item as open box excellent, and it was NOT restored to factory settings. As a matter of fact, there was still a DVD inside, AND the language settings were not restored to the original. It was in Spanish, and I had to restore factory settings myself with a little help from Google Translate. I’m glad I saved money, but Best Buy needs to do a better job norming its procedures for returns. It was disappointing to buy an “excellent” item, and it was immediately clear that no one bothered to turn it on when it was returned.

Nice and Simple

It’s back to buying physical media for me.

Same Thing As Previous Models

Playing discs and software wise it's the exact same thing as the x700M and x800M2. The difference is it has no streaming apps and no Wifi. For $300 starting price might as well spend more and get the Panasonic 850. Sony didn't really change anything as far as the software and how it plays discs. BTW you still have to turn Dolby Vision on and off based on the disc you are playing. It won't auto switch it on and off based on what disc you insert.
