My only complaint is that there is no Wi-Fi, so you either a) download and copy updates to a USB drive (which didn't work anyway) or b)have to Ethernet connect for updates

Thank you for your feedback! You are completely right, the UBP-X700U does not have Wi-Fi, so updates must be done via Ethernet or a USB drive.
If the USB method failed, please ensure the flash drive is formatted to FAT32 or exFAT and the update file is fully unzipped to the main folder of the drive.

My new Sony Bravia 8 comes with all of those. It plays well with the TV sense there are both Sony. the picture and sound are great. Plus, the TV set it up for me.
