Thank you for your feedback regarding the UBPX700U. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing skipping and freezing issues during playback.

To resolve this, we recommend performing the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Power cycle the player by unplugging it from the power source for about 2 minutes, then plug it back in.

2. Inspect your discs to make sure they are in excellent condition with no scratches.

3. Perform a factory data reset by going to Setup > Resetting > Reset to Factory Default Settings > All Settings > Start > Close > Turn off the player and then turn it back on.

It's frustrating when a new device doesn't connect smoothly, and we understand your decision. In the event you consider purchasing another 4K player in the future, please know that setup difficulties are often resolved by ensuring a Premium High-Speed HDMI cable is used and that the corresponding HDMI input on your TV is set to an Enhanced/Deep Color/UHD Format within your TV's settings.

Hi DavidH,

We understand your frustration with DVD navigation and screen settings. This is often resolved by adjusting a couple of settings: please go to the player's Setup menu and ensure the 4K Upscale Setting is set to Off or None for smoother DVD menu navigation. For screen stretching on older DVDs, try setting the DVD Aspect Ratio in the Screen Settings to Letterbox.
