Download the Sony Music Center app, and you can actually fine tune the sound of your ULT Field 1 to your liking. With the Sony Music Center app, you can change the sound quality via a 3-band equalizer. It allows you to adjust ULT Mode without making ULT Sound Effect noise. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding the Bluetooth pairing process without the manual. We understand how important intuitive setup is, and we apologize if this caused any initial frustration.

For future reference, a quick press of the Bluetooth button will typically reconnect to the last device, while pressing and holding the Bluetooth button for a few seconds (until the indicator flashes rapidly) will put the speaker into pairing mode to connect to a new device.

You can certainly look forward to using it by the pool, as it features an IP67 rating, making it both waterproof and dustproof (even salt water resistant).
