It sounded great in the store and had good clarity for the sound. Due to illnesses we had a late January Christmas when she opened the gift. She liked it but felt the sound was not as good as her JBL flip and thought a JBL equivalent sized one would be better. We returned it to Best buy and they reimbursed me for the product. While I was completing this my wife went to look at the JBL. She then tried the Sony Ult in the store and said it really had good sound, better than the JBL. I realized I did not press the button on the unit that gives it the deeper sound when she tried it at home. She said lets just keep the Sony Ult. When I asked the best buy associate if we could just cancel the transaction he said if it hasn't been more than ten minutes. Unfortunately when checking he said it was 15 minutes since the transaction was completed and could not let me have the unit I returned. The difference in rebuying a new one versus the one I bought on sale before Christmas was substantially more. Two hundred dollars verses three hundred eighty nine dollars. I was disappointed best buy would not work with me and cancel the return transaction. We passed on purchasing another due to the cost differance.

Our last speaker was a bose product but this speaker is higher quality and much more powerful. It completely fills the room with quality sound! Best purchase of the Christmas season!

Big sound from a mid size speaker

I now use it in the house daily, seems to have a very nice battery life and sound is fine for what it is and size. Has some bass, no mids and alright highs. Got it on sale and so far seems worth it.

Amazing sound and looks great

Fills the room and/or spreads sound through the backyard well. Looks great with the LED lighting. Seems that the bluetooth stays connected for a long distance, which is great so I can keep my phone in my pocket while not worrying about connecting to the speaker.

This thing is outstanding for under $200 compared with units more expensive. It has more volume you would need with good battery life. Not a fan of the party lights but you can cut them off.
