The sound is clear, deep, and loud. It has three different sound modes that change the intensity of the bass if it’s not to your liking. You can also turn it off or customize it in the sony app. Overall it’s a great speaker!

Solid Performance

One thing you’ll get out of this that the JBL counterparts can’t is the higher Bluetooth codec which you can really hear. It’s crisp and well balanced. In the end I had the chance to pick up the Bose Soundlink Max and I’m here to tell you that if you are leaning towards the Bose for any reason, just do it. The sound stage is impeccable and this is where Sony fell flat for me. Without the side by side I would still have the Field 5.

So balanced of a sound

I have the previous version of this Sony Speaker and this ULT 5 is much better. Everything from low to mid to high to bass is there with nothing missing. It really sounds reference. It actually sounds better at low volume because that clarity is more pronounced.
