Highly recommend than JBL and UE. If you want loud, clear music with controlable bass this would be it. JBL are great but has uncontrollable bass if you want EDM but not clear sound, UE is great for 360 around but battery isn’t that great and rather go with Sony products especially they always improve throughout the years

I was pleasantly surprised by this speaker because it does an excellent job of balancing all of these frequencies, ensuring that nothing is overpowered. And you can max the volume and it will remain clear and bass will still be there. I use mine everyday starting out with a full charge and it lasts at least 14 hours before you get a notification that you should charge it. I play it loud on ULT2 setting and get about 20 hours before it’s drained. It feels well built and very ergonomic for carrying around.

This one is much clearer and more bass than all others in this range. Next runner up is Bose which was very close but this one is a clear powerhouse. Clear winner over Boom 3 which is also a good speaker...but side by side the Sony Ult 7 sounds better. Bigger yes. If size is a big issue I'd go bose.

Heavy duty service mechanic and use this while out in the field repairing heavy machinery. Surrounded by loud machines and can still clearly hear the music. The one flaw is having to turn the volume down when needed to talk to someone.

The JBL's bass is a bit more deep and a bit more tight... This Sony is worth every bit of the 499 msrp but the bb3 wifi is overpriced at 649

Also sounds good, could use a little more base (I always have the extra base turned on). Overall great speaker, i'm very happy with the sound it producess and ease of portabelity. Even better when on sale, I bought another. Both speakers fill the room with great sound when easly sinked together.
