To help you get the most playtime possible out of your speaker, please try the following:

1- Software Updates: Ensure your speaker is up to date by using the Sony | Sound Connect app. Keeping the firmware current ensures the best possible power management.

2- Enable STAMINA Mode: To significantly reduce power consumption while running on the built-in battery, open the Sony | Sound Connect app and set [STAMINA] to On.

If the battery issue persists after these adjustments, we highly suggest contacting our technical support team so we can further evaluate the unit for you:
