We’re glad you’re enjoying the great sound of the WH-ULT900N, but we're sorry to hear about the volume cutting out for your spouse. We understand how important it is to find a balance that works for both of you, especially when dealing with hearing challenges.
On many Sony TVs, you can actually output sound to both the headphones and the TV speakers simultaneously by adjusting the Audio Output settings in the menu. This would allow you to enjoy your headphones while your spouse listens at his preferred volume.

I can listen to my book or or podcasts when flying. That being said, Im still not sure if it's working thru Bluetooth or just noise cancelling. I'm not real tech savvy.

Good app, good sound, very comfortable to wear, but I can’t help but feel like they’re going to break at some point because of the cheap materials used on the case.
