Be sure to download the Sony Music Center app to control your music and sound settings, & the Fiestable app to take charge of karaoke and speaker lighting features. Don’t worry about device connection with up to three phone pairing capability and up to 50 V21’s for the ultimate party. Easy to carry with handles on the side and connectivity via Bluetooth or NFC for easy pairing. Nice karaoke machine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony MHC-v21 makes for a decent karaoke machine, but that’s pretty much it. Standing at about 2 1/2 feet tall, this unit is a little too big to fit on a bookshelf. It’s also pretty wide too, so I would recommend setting it up on the floor (unless you have the space). The build quality is kind of lacking, it seems to be very hollow inside with a bunch of unused space. The speaker is made of pretty cheap plastic, with standard buttons, nothing fancy here. The woofer has a projected blue-ish light, which adds for some cool effect. The speaker has only one output (RCA cable) and no input, it does however have an antenna which is included in the box. It also has 2 microphone inputs on the top of the unit. The Sony speaker has a couple of nice features which include; built in CD player, bluetooth connectivity, and app support for Fiestable and Sony Music Center. Some of the units best features involve, djaying and karaoking. I played with the Fiestable app for a little bit, and for a free app, there are a lot of cool features. For example, slowing and speeding up of the vocals of a track, scratching, and some sound effects. The Sony music app lets you select your library of music to stream to the unit. The sound of the Sony MHCV21, is actually pretty powerful. It has 2 tweeters on the top of the unit, and a big driver in the center towards the bottom. The sound is pretty clear, and packs some heavy bass. So overall, if you’re looking for a nice karaoke machine with some added features and good sound, this unit is for you. If you’re looking for a home audio system, there are better options out there, especially considering the amount of space it takes up.
