You should not be using this player for MP3 music. It is designed for use with either FLAC or any other lossless music format. I actually prefer the previous Sony player which uses "hard" buttons iso a touch screen which shortens the battery life. While Sony gives a pretty impressive battery life, using lossless audio files and Bluetooth enabled, the player will only last several hours before the battery goes out. Since it is designed for Hi-Res, the sound is quite good but you will need an accompanying high quality headphones to get the most out of it. The power output is pretty meager, so you will not be able to drive the sound too loud.

Sony delivers again with a great MP3 player that has great build quality and soud qaulity. With very good battery life.

I got this because I have a moderate collection of hi-def music that won't easily play on my ITouch or phone. So far everything works well. Sound quality is good (I use the Sony MDX-1000x.) I use the app to transfer music and while it isn't the greatest it works well. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great MP3 player, and works perfect with any Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Also you can extend the memory to hold music using an SD card.

Sounds great through my Bose revolve Bluetooth speaker plays for a long time on charge much better than the older mp3 player.

This device paired with a large micro SD card purchased at the same time has been fantastic for when the world is overwhelming and I want to get away. Also works a charm at dark sky locations where cell signal can be spotty and music helps you drift away. Audio quality has been very high when paired with Massdrop Plus IEMs or the Sony WH-1000XM3 ANC headphones. Haven't tried with many beyond that.

My husband saw this walkman and he got in love, easy to adapt to a car by Bluetooth and the sound it great.

Sony continues to be at the top of their game with this Walkman. The sound quality is top notch, and even though all this does is reproduce music and spoken word audio, as well as play FM radio, it allows for a host of options and tweaks to make sure the music sounds the way you want. And the SIM card slot allows for a greatly expanded memory capacity.

What a great Sony Walkman the sound is great easy to pair up with my earbuds.

It was a exactly what l needed to transfer all the music l stored on my external and listen to without the interference of calls or notifications inherent in using a smart phone. That was my phone is available for the other many things that govern our time. Love it!

I use this mp3 player for all my music. It read all the files on my 64GB micro SD card with no problems. The USB charging cable is specially designed for this device. It has a unique adapter on one end. The volume control can output 120% volume. It has a color touch screen.

My Apple Ipod finally died and I wanted a solid state device with hi res audio. This is it! The only reason I did not give stars is that it takes a long time to start up and Sony chose to use a proprietary charging cable connection.

God music quality. Easy to use after installing the Sony music app on my computer. The hold button is great to prevent any accidental move of your music while doing exercises or any work that requires a lot of movement.
