While we're glad that you like great audio quality of these earbuds, we're sorry to learn if the left unit tends to move in your ears causing it to fall out with just a little movement.
For fit concern, the WF-1000XM3 features an Ergonomic Tri-hold structure design for a snugly and comfortably fitting. A high-friction rubber surface keeps the noise canceling earbuds snug and secure in your ear so they won’t slip out unexpectedly. This does also come with an assortment of earbuds in various sizes to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes. To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, when wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold.
Note: If the earbud tips tend to come off in your ears when you shake your head, we recommend to change the earbud tips to another size to comfortably and snugly fit your left and right ears.
We regret to hear that the headphones had to be returned. We hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase.

Secret to effective noise canceling is tight fit of earbuds into ear canal... try the all for markedly different experience. App is adequate. Certainly would like to control volume at the earbud but not a huge deal for my use.

No volume on Headphones

The noise cancelling works well (tried them on a flight from Boston to Seattle). They sounds so good!

Sony ear buds WF-1000XM3

They kept falling out of my ears no matter which ear tips I tried on. The sound was amazing and loved the phone app Sony has. I tried so hard to keep these ear buds but they just wouldn't stay on. So for this reason only I had to return them back.

The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Please use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. If the earbud tips tend to come off or you feel that there is insufficient low frequency sound and a difference in volume between the left and right units, change the earbud tips to another size to comfortably and snugly fit your left and right ears. Best ever for music... phone calls not so much

Certain YouTube videos take advantage of this. Haven’t found much more though. The mics work a little too well they pick up all background noise especially when driving. The noise campus on par with Bose.

I use these for mowing and running heavy equipment and flying. The noise canceling is the best of any headphones I have owned. However often when I turned my head one ear, or both often would lose signal and briefly interrupt play. Some of the time the noise canceling did not return when the music did. I tried using them on two different occasions with the same results. This is with my phone in the front pocket of my bibs, basically directly under my chin. I don’t know if this was just a bad set or all of them would do the same thing. I use other Bluetooth headphones with no issues at all. I returned these and ordered the around the neck wired ones (WI-1000XM2) I’ll see if they are any better.

After buying and returning at least 10 pair of earbuds, I hit the jackpot with these. Most of them fall out of my ears and I’m afraid of loosing one. Good job on the Sony design! My only con; why did Sony build the case with a flat bottom so that the case can Stan up.
